Man fatally shot in the face outside of NYC church

A man was fatally shot in the face outside of a Brooklyn church Friday, police said.

The victim, 39, was shot at around 5:30 p.m. in front of the Miller Evangelical Christian Union Church on President Street, near the corner of Rogers Avenue, in Crown Heights.

The shooter and the victim had gotten into a dispute at the location, according to police.

Cops responded to find the victim unresponsive with a  gunshot wound to the face.

He was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made.

Police have not released the identity of the victim and an investigation is ongoing.

The gruesome killing was the latest during an uptick in gun violence in the city this summer.
