‘Hooky’ version of legendary sitcom Only Fools and Horses is being sued in a rip-off row – The Sun
A “HOOKY” version of legendary sitcom Only Fools and Horses is being sued in a rip-off row.
The Only Fools (Cushty) Dining Experience offers punters a night out with Del Boy, Rodney, Uncle Albert and other favourite characters over a three-course meal.
But Jim and Sharon Sullivan — son and widow of Only Fools’ creator John — have launched a legal bid to get it stopped.
They say it “passes off” the BBC hit and is a breach of copyright.
The show promises to “transport audiences to The Nags Head to meet the pride of Peckham in a night of wheeling, dealing and eating”.
It gets dozens of glowing reviews on TripAdvisor with one posting: “You would be a plonker if you miss this!”
The writ names Alison Gay-Monsergh as the director of the firm behind the show, Interactive Theatre International.
