Hamza bin Laden should fear ‘same fate as his father’ warns hero who shot Osama

Hamza bin Laden should fear suffering the same fate as his father, according to the Navy SEAL who shot dead Osama in 2011.

The dead terror chief’s son is currently in hiding in Pakistan and is thought to be being protected by drug lords with a $1m reward on his head offered by the US government.

Hamza is reported to have taken up the mantle of global jihad since his father’s death in 2011.

Rob O’Neill spoke to the Daily Mail about tracking Hamza down.

He said: "It will come down to human intelligence – who saw him and where. You have to wade through the lies because a lot of people will say they saw him now, to try and get the money."

O’Neill was a member of SEAL Team 6 which stormed Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, almost eight years ago.

The 42-year-old came forward in 2014 and named himself as the man who shot and killed bin Laden.

The decorated veteran believes Hamza bin Laden will meet his father’s fate and added: "Knock it off. The ideology is not worth it, it’s archaic."

Hamza bin Laden, who is believed to be around 30, has threatened attacks against the U.S. to avenge the 2011 killing of his father by SEAL Team 6.

Since August 2015, he has released audio and video messages on the Internet calling on his followers to launch attacks against the United States and its Western allies, the US State Department said in a statement last Thursday.

The 15th of Osama bin Laden’s at least 20 children and a son of his third wife, Hamza has been groomed to follow in his father’s footsteps since childhood.

Saudi Arabia has revoked Hamza bin Laden’s citizenship, official newspaper Um al-Qura reported Friday, citing a royal order issued to the Interior Ministry.

The US State Department said items seized from the elder bin Laden’s hiding place in Pakistan at the time of his death indicated he was grooming Hamza bin Laden to replace him as al Qaeda’s leader.
