Boy dies after being hit by bus on way home from school

A BOY has died after being hit by a bus as he walked home from school.

The youngster, whose age hasn't been released, was declared dead at the scene in Monmouth, Wales, following the horror smash.

Emergency crews were scrambled to the A466 at around 3.48pm yesterday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find a pedestrian, a boy, who had been involved in a collision with a bus.

"Sadly, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead on scene.”

The road was closed while police investigated.
