TYSON FURY pleaded with the referee to stop his 2014 fight with Derek Chisora to spare his opponent from a severe beating.

Del Boy is currently on a three-fight losing streak after a defeat to Oleksandr Usyk was followed by back-to-back losses to Joseph Parker in little over a year.

Despite that, the 38-year-old Brit has recently declared he is open to a battle with former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

However, the man who dethroned the American and then retained the title against the Bronze Bomber once delivered a brutal beat-down to Chisora.

And that should serve as a warning to the Londoner as he tries to secure another step-up to the elite level.

Chisora had already lost his British and Commonwealth belts to the Gypsy King back in 2011.

But that did not stop him from taking a rematch against Fury three years later.

The two men were battling for a potential title shot at Wladimir Klitscho on the line.

But Fury completely dominated Chisora for ‘ten agonising rounds’ at the Excel in London.

According to talkSport, the Gypsy King at one point even asked ref Marcus MacDonnell to stop the fight in order to end his rival’s misery.

Finally, it was Chisora’s former trainer Don Charles that stopped the beating after the tenth as he removed the gum shield from his man.

But the veteran star remains undeterred by that as he plots a clash against Wilder – a man who floored Fury twice in their epic trilogy fight.

Chisora said: “I’m open to anything. I love fighting; what most people don’t understand is some people want to have the perception of being boxers on Instagram.

“I’m not that guy. I want to be that guy that when I sit down and everybody looks at my resume, I want to say, ‘You know what, I fought everybody in my era.’

“I don’t want to let people decide for me, I decide for myself and be happy with the decision I make.

“So if I have to fight Deontay Wilder, if I have to fight whoever, if I have to fight an American, I don’t care, I will fight.”
