SmackDown review: WWE champ Daniel Bryan to face Kofi Kingston after Fastlane pay-per-view

THE fallout from Elimination Chamber continued on SmackDown LIVE last night – but now all eyes in WWE are on the Fastlane pay-per-view on March 10.

Here are five things we learnt from SmackDown.

Kofi Kingston will face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Fastlane

Kofi has been the surprise success story of the past week. After stepping in to replace the injured Mustafa Ali, Kofi put on an incredible performance in a gauntlet match and then wowed fans in a nail-biting conclusion to the Elimination Chamber match.

And last night Kofi he secured himself a shot against WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at Fastlane.

Kofi teamed with AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy to take on Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, and Randy Orton and scored the pinfall when he nailed Bryan with Trouble in Paradise.

In some ways, the pancake-scoffing, merchandise machine of The New Day is the perfect foil for Bryan’s anti-fast food, anti-plastic environmental crusader character.

But can Kofi score another pinfall over Bryan – this time when the title’s on the line – at Fastlane? Or is it just a time killer before Bryan’s WrestleMania opponent is revealed?

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargango have broken The Bar

After pinning Raw champs The Revival just one night earlier, the #DIY team of Ciampa and Gargano were back on the main roster for a match against Sheamus and Cesaro.

The crowd reaction for the NXT superstars was much better than it had been on Raw and the two teams had an exciting match.
