Pogba agent Raiola rejected by Roma wonderkid Zaniolo

ROMA whizkid Nicolo Zaniolo has snubbed Paul Pogba's super-agent Mino Raiola.

Controversial Raiola usually gets his way – and is currently overseeing another much-wanted 19-year-old, Ajax centre-back Matthijs De Ligt.

But La Gazzetta dello Sport say Zaniola has turned down Raiola's approach.

Zaniola's dad Igor explained his son wants to keep current agent Claudio Virorelli.

And it is the second time this week Italy Under-21 midfielder Zaniola has acted to halt unwanted attention.

But on the first occasion the attention was on his mum Francesca Costa.

And it was Nicolo who did not want her to attract the attention!

The teenager urged Francesca, 41, to stop posting provocative selfies on Instagram.

Corriere dello Sport say, when Francesca recently put up yet another such pic, Nicola responded with the post: "Stop mum. "What are you doing with your mouth like that? You're 40!"

Meanwhile, Raiola is said to be the reason Premier League giants have kept in the shadows as the race for £50million-rated Dutch prodigy De Ligt hots up.

Juventus and PSG have officially shown interest in De Ligt.

But the Mirror claimed Dutch clubs feel Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are reluctant to get involved with Raiola.

In particular, Etihad chief Pep Guardiola fell out with Raiolo when he was Barcelona boss over Zlatan Ibrahimovic's exit from the Nou Camp in 2011.

Then last year Guardiola alleged Raiolo offered Pogba to him when the Frenchman was struggling at Manchester United.

And Old Trafford chiefs are themselves reportedly reticent about working with Raiolo closely again after hearing he hawked midfielder Pogba around at the height of his discontent under now-axed boss Jose Mourinho.
