Man Utd legend Wayne Rooney hangs out with Paul Pogba and David De Gea after Boxing Day win against Huddersfield

WAYNE ROONEY hung out with Manchester United stars after the Red Devils beat Huddersfield Town 3-1 on Boxing Day.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men shared pictures on social media alongside the DC United striker who returned to the Old Trafford changing room.

United have been revitalised since Solskjaer took over following Jose Mourinho's sacking.

The Red Devils have won two Premier League clashes with the Norwegian in the dugout, scoring eight goals and conceding two – as excitement seems to reappear at Old Trafford.

Rooney, the club's record goalscorer, also cheered his former team from the stands as Solskjaer debuted at home on Boxing Day.

Paul Pogba, David De Gea and Jesse Lingard all used the opportunity to take a snap alongside the club legend, who scored a record 253 goals in 559 appearances between 2004 and 2017.

World Cup winner Pogba took a selfie with smiling Rooney and wrote "Santa is here" on Instagram.

While the Spanish goalkeeper posed to a picture with his former team-mate and shared it with a caption that read: "Miss you bro!".

Lingard, who scored in Solskjaer's first match in charge against Cardiff, also managed to take a snap with Rooney and labelled him a "legend" on Instagram.

Although United stars rushed to hang out with Rooney, the club's hero was given a treatment no other than regular fans when entering Old Trafford.
