Everton 1 Leicester 2: Ahmed Musa scores twice as Foxes come from behind to beat hapless Toffees in FA Cup – The Sun

AHMED MUSA scored twice in five minutes as Leicester came from behind to beat Everton at Goodison Park.

Ronald Koeman had named a strong XI but were undone by two good Musa goals after Romelu Lukaku had opened the scoring.

The Everton star should have scored just before half-time but his header went just wide.

The Belgian striker did find the net from close range, turning in a cross after good play from substitute Gerard Deulofeu.

But that lead lasted just three minutes as Musa, who had come on for the injured Leonardo Ulloa in the first half, turned in Gray's cutback on 66 minutes.

It was his first goal for Leicester since the end of October and five minutes later he had his second – the rapid winger played a brilliant one-two with Danny Drinkwater and bent a lovely strike into the corner to see Everton crash out.

FACTS, STATS, GOALS & LOLS

  • So much for the big comeback. Jamie Vardy wasn’t even in the Leicester squad after his three-match ban.
  • Ronald Koeman’s cup intentions were clear – his team was arguably even stronger than last week’s. They idn’t play like it, though.
  • Idrissa Gueye will be a huge miss for Everton while he is away on African Cup of Nations duty with Senegal.
  • A first sighting of Wilfred Ndidi, Leicester’s new £15m man from Genk – and a decent holding midfielder he looks, too.
