Brit MMA star Dominique Wooding to rematch Conor McGregor's training partner Frans Mlambo in PFL Europe's $100k season | The Sun

DOMINIQUE WOODING will rematch Frans Mlambo in his Professional Fighters League debut.

The bantamweight rivals are both signed to the American promotion and feature in the inaugural PFL Europe season.

31-year-old Irishman Mlambo – who trains with UFC superstar Conor McGregor – beat Londoner Wooding, 26, on points in 2019 in a Bellator bout but they will rematch on July 8 in Berlin.

In the PFL's global season, contenders have two qualifying fights, with points earned by method of victory.

The top four in each weight then progress to the knockout stages, setting up a grand finale where $1m (£820,000) and a championship belt awaits.

PFL Europe instead has only one qualifying bout and offers $100,000 (£82,000), a title and the chance to enter the regular $1million league.

The Euro season kicked off on March 25 in Newcastle where the men's light-heavyweights and women's flyweights fought.

Now, the men's bantamweights and lightweights will be in action with 135lb stars Farbod Iran Nezhad and Francesco Nuzzi headlining.

The eight-bout main-card from Germany will be aired live on DAZN.

PFL Europe this year signed on Dan Hardy as Director of Fighter Operations as the British legend oversees his second event.

"This is why I believe that Berlin is the perfect host city for these inaugural European championships.
