Bloodied Neymar forced off as Brazil thump Bolivia in World Cup qualifier

A BATTERED and bloodied Neymar was forced off the field as Brazil romped past Bolivia on Thursday.

The star striker scored one and set up two more as the Samba Boys coasted to a 5-0 win in their World Cup qualifier.

Barcelona ace Neymar, however, will be the first to admit that it was not the stroll in the park the scoreline suggests as he was unable to continue past the 69th minute.

He was on the receiving end of an elbow from a Bolivian defender out wide near the touchline, sending the 24-year-old sprawling to the ground.

Medics rushed on to try and stop the streaming of blood from the golden boy of Brazilian football’s face, but the gash proved too big, forcing the talisman from the action.
