Mum’s ‘aggressive’ list of pantry rules slammed by outraged fellow parents

There aren't many people in this world who particularly enjoy spending their free time cleaning.

But we do love it when our home looks all nice and tidy.

One mum recently claims to have spent two whole days organising the contents of her pantry, putting things in storage boxes, labelling each item and generally bossing it.

And to ensure that all her hard work didn't go to waste, she drew up a list of pantry rules for her family – but it's fair to say they haven't been received very well.

An image of the pantry was shared to the Facebook page, Kmart Unhacks & Roasts.

Parents on the group were shocked by the threatening nature of the rules, in which the mum says she will "cut" anyone who messes up the cupboard.

The rules read: "1. Don't ask me where everything is coz I labelled every darn thing.

"2. I spent two days organising this pantry, if you mess it up I WILL CUT YOU."

It's signed off "with much love, mum".

The post has had more than 500 likes and over 1,000 comments.

One outraged mum responded: "I'd never put a sign up like this for my children to read. I don't get why people think it's funny."

Another wrote: "Agreed. My jaw dropped when I read 'I will cut you' that is actually disgusting."

A third added: "It's all good, except that feral sign."

Others were too distracted by the lack of food in the pantry to comment on the rules.

"That's not a pantry, it's a glorified linen cupboard that's presumably in the kitchen!! Pantries have food in them," argued one user.

Someone else commented: "How the f*** did this take her two days? There's no f***ing food in it."

Despite the backlash, there were those who were impressed by how tidy the pantry looked.

A few even went as far as to describe it as "organisational goals" and one said they've also experienced "pantry aggression" so they understood where the mum was coming from.
