The Earl and Countess of Wessex today enjoyed a rare public day out with their two children, as they visited a zoo in Bristol and fed some of its animals.
Prince Edward, 55, and Sophie Wessex, 54, beamed as they arrived for a family day out in the sunshine, with their daughter Lady Louise Windsor, 15, and James Viscount Severn, 11.
The youngsters joined the rest of the family for Trooping the Colour in June, but have largely grown up away from the limelight.
Sophie recycled a navy polkadot midi dress from ARoss Girl for the occasion, paired with summery white espadrilles, a style also favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge.
The Wessexes marveled at the giraffe who was eating quietly as lady Windsor and her brother fed the animal

The royal swept her blonde hair back in a ponytail, and finished off her outfit with a colourful clutch bag.
Meanwhile daughter Lady Louise looked pretty in pink at the event, wearing a floral skirt with a smart white blouse.
Lady Louise is Edward and Sophie’s eldest child and only daughter – she is twelfth in line to the throne and is the Queen’s youngest granddaughter.
Younger brother James looked smart in a navy jacket, blue shirt and cream chinos.

The family seemed to be enjoying their outing, taking some time to feed a giraffe and feasting on marshmallows cooked by her son.
Their father, the Earl of Wessex, is Patron of Bristol Zoological Society – a conservation and education charity, which runs and operates Bristol Zoo Gardens and the Wild Place Project.
The society aims to save wildlife through acts of conservation and is working to protect species and habitats overseas, encouraging sustainable behaviours and perceptions, as well as educate generations of families that pass through their attractions.

It’s not the first time the royal family have visited the zoo, with James and Louise joining their parents for a family day out in June 2016.
And it’s the second time in recent months the young royals have made a rare appearance in public.
In June, the pair shared a carriage with their parents, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, for their grandmother The Queen’s birthday, Trooping the Colour.

They then joined four generations of royals to watch the traditional RAF flypast from the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
Louise was last seen out in public in May when she was pictured driving a horse-drawn carriage during the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
An avid horse rider,she often competes in the British Driving Society Championship for Young Drivers.
