I'm a mom of two – how I get my baby to sleep through the night effortlessly and it won't cost you a single dime

BABIES learn their mothers' smell early on in life.

Mother of two, Mary, has used that to her advantage to make her children sleep comfortably throughout the night.

According to Fit Pregnancy Club, a parent's scent makes a baby feel like they're with them, even when they're not present.

Additionally, a parent's scent can reduce cortisol levels in babies, which leads to less stress and anxiety for your little one.

This helps them get good sleep and ensures they're asleep for longer.

In a video shared with her TikTok followers, Mary shared the methods she uses to ensure that her babys' bassinet smells like her.

According to her, both of her kids slept in their bassinets and slept peacefully through the night at six weeks old.

Her pumping parts were placed in a closed zip-top bag and put on a shelf in her fridge.

You don't need to clean the pumps after every use, but experts say to avoid going more than 8-12 hours without washing the parts to avoid the growth of bacteria.

The next tip was to keep an old sweatshirt in your stroller to use as a footmuff for colder days.

Steph's last tip was to use a laundry basket during bath time.

First, be sure to line the basket with towels to ensure that your baby is comfortable.

The sides of the basket will keep your baby from falling over into the water, and the holes will allow water to flow in and out of the area.

This is perfect for when they're transitioning from the sink to the bath but are too small for a regular tub.
