GOING ON a first date is a nerve-racking experience for many.

While many people will head to a restaurant or a bar, some may go and play a bit of bowling or mini golf on a first date.

But one woman has taken to TikTok to share her first date experience and it's say to say, it's unique…

Paige Allan, from Edinburgh explained that she went on holiday to Portugal for a first date.

But unfortunately, the holiday didn’t go as well as Paige expected…

Paige revealed that she went to Portugal to meet a man she had been talking to on Instagram.

But upon arriving to Portugal, Paige realised that the man wasn’t her type and she quickly developed the ‘ick’. 

Paige uploaded the video to TikTok with the caption ‘Too funny not to share. Don’t go on holiday with a stranger for a first date’. 

She said: “So I went on holiday with a stranger from Instagram and this is how it went.”

In Paige’s video, she shares screenshots of texts between her and the man, in which he said that he was going on holiday and asked if she wanted to come.

Paige then shared a picture of her at the airport with her suitcase, ready for her trip away. 

Later on, Paige shared screenshots that she had sent to a friend, whilst on holiday with the man, saying “I’ve got the ick. 5 more days.” 

Paige then said: “First and last time I’m going on holiday with a stranger LOL.

“Home four days early, can’t wait.” 

Paige posted a screenshot of her flight details, from Faro to Edinburgh, that she had booked to fly home early.

She said: “I haven’t told him I’m going yet. Do I just disappear like a magician? Or tell him?

“How do I get myself in these situations?

“We were sitting in silence and I went “good chat bro” and he went “you’re boring” and mumbled something like “you’re wasting my time”.

“So I went “well I’m only here until 1pm so don’t worry, all the excitement will come when I go”. 

“He was like “what do you mean” and I said “I’m going home. I’ve booked a flight”.

“He then pure rolled over on top of me with his stinking breath.” 

Paige explained that she told her date that she was finding the holiday awkward as they had “sat in silence for most of the time.” 

Paige later said that she flew home early and had blocked the man on social media. 

She said: “I blocked him at the airport on the way home.” 

At the time of writing, Paige’s video had been live on TikTok for just 18 hours, but had already racked up a whopping 379k views. 

It has 53.8k likes, 811 comments and 886 shares.

TikTok users were shocked that Paige had even gone on the date in the first place, but found the whole ordeal hilarious. 

One person said: “Am sorry but this is so funny.” 

Another added: “Hahahahhaah this is brilliant.” 

A third commented: “Oh my god.” 

Another explained: “I’m 27 and still my mam wouldn’t let me go.” 

Someone else added: “'Don’t go on a holiday with a stranger for a first date' I mean obviously.”
