I asked for a religious tattoo but critics say it looks more like the devil

A TATTOO fan has caused a stir online with a religious inspired inking of the Holy Bible.

An image of the controversial design was shared on Reddit, as many users criticised it for looking more like the devil.

The tattoo depicted the Holy Bible with a plug socket that fed directly into the individuals forearm.

The inking, which was allegedly done by the “shop owner,” also featured the phrase “my plug” alongside a religious symbol of a Crucifix.

But it was a similar inspired design shared on the s***y tattoo subreddit forum that provoked the most response online – as many users suggested that the plug looked anything but heavenly.

“Looks like a devil tail, ironically,” one user suggested as another commented, “I 100 per cent thought it was supposed to be a snake.”

A third person commented: “Eww that's gross.”

Others wondered if the design had even been conducted by professionals, labelling the message of the inking as “unclear.”

One commented: “Did he not use a stencil or something how did he do the letters that bad?”

Another questioned: “If the bible is "the plug" why does the plug not come from the bible? Is the plug the wall".
