Four women reveal how they found out their partner had cheated – from getting an STI to catching them on Xmas day – The Sun

WHEN Jane Slater was woken at 4am by her FitBit telling her that her boyfriend was having a 'spike in activity' – she knew there was only one thing he was likely to be doing.

It was a brutal way to find out he was cheating on her – but she's not alone in catching her partner out in an unusual way.

From catching STIs to finding homemade pornos, here four women reveal how they discovered their beloved had been unfaithful…

'I knew he'd cheated when I caught his STI'

Nanny Mary, 30, lives in Devon with her daughter and partner.

She says: "My partner worked closely with one particular female colleague.

I’d met her a few times and she seemed really friendly and nice. I even bought her lunch once.

My other half is an introvert that’s why I was surprised when I discovered they had pet names for one another – but I didn’t give it as much thought as I should have done.

Our daughter was six months old and she was my priority – so when he’d ask for sex it was off the cards. I was happy to stick to cuddles.

Over the next few weeks I noticed he was texting her more – and would take his phone everywhere with him and I began to fer suspicious.

Then one night he told me he was moving out because he thought I was too focused on our daughter and had no energy for him.

But my gut told me he was cheating.

Three months later he asked to come home on the proviso we’d have more sex. It was then he confirmed he’d been having an affair with his colleague, and that t hey’d been seeing one another for the previous three months.

It was then I went to get a health check and discovered he had given me an STD he caught from her.

We ended up staying together and that was years ago now.

When I was younger I’d swore to never put up with someone who cheats, but isn’t so easy when you’ve got a child together."

'I found a video of him in bed with another woman on Christmas Day'

Student eyelash technician Jessica Turner, 23, lives in Maidstone with her partner and their two-year-old son.

She says: "I’ve been with my partner for four years. We became parents in 2017 and then last spring we moved into a place together but I had an inkling something wasn’t right between us.

I’d pushed it away for months. One night when he’d fallen asleep in front of the television I noticed he left his phone unlocked.

I went through everything from his browser history to his deleted files. It was then I found out in the worst way possible out he’d cheated on me – I discovered a video of him and another woman in bed.

When I saw them together I felt sick.

I couldn’t even cry because I was so shocked.

I also discovered he hadn’t been unfaithful with just one woman – there were others. I copied down all of their numbers and contacted them.

They sent me screenshots of hotels booked and told me what they got up to sexually.

Even though I had all this evidence he still denied it.  Telling me he’d gone to his boys to chill.

The worst one was Christmas Day and Boxing Day 2018. I was at home ill in bed with our baby and he was out making love with another woman.

We broke up after this.  He went to all sorts of lengths to get me back. He sent flowers and called all the time.

I love him very much. That’s why I didn’t want to believe he is a cheater and prefer to look past things instead.

I also want us to be a proper family. It isn’t easy when we have sex because I’m wondering has he done this with someone else.

Mum always sees the good in people and says there’s two sides to every story. But she was upset when she realised what he’d done.

My friends can’t stand him and won’t see me when I’m with him. He hasn’t cheated again but I’m worried that he might.

He's a good dad and we have a good life together. Even though I can't trust him, it’ll always be in the back of my mind."

'I went out in disguise and caught him in the act'

PA Sallyanne Wright, 37, lives in East London.

She says: "Six years ago I was in a serious relationship with my boyfriend. He moved into my studio flat with me.

I was working full-time and he was looking for a job. He told me he was going to loads of interviews and I believed him.

He was looking for work as a builder and I did wonder why all of the interviews were in the evenings.

One night when he’d gone for an interview I opened up his laptop. I knew his password and found he hadn’t logged out of Facebook. I immediately had access to his messages.

I started to read flirty, sexy messages from all different women.

I started to tremble and my hands and legs were shaking. He was dating a few women at the same time.

I thought we had a serious relationship. We were planning our future together.

The warning signs were there though. When we went on holiday and both posted pictures he didn’t want pictures of us together.

I was OK with that until I found one woman messaged him asking who he’d gone on holiday with. He replied with a mate. He was hiding that he was in relationship.

I cried all evening. My neighbour came around to for moral support. I showed her the messages and she agreed he must be cheating.

When he came home I went to bed early and didn’t speak to him. Next day I acted normally.

After a week of secretly checking his Facebook messages I could pinpoint who he was really seeing.  I knew where and when he would be meeting her.

One day I went to work as usual but mentioned I was going for a drink with a friend after work.

I went out and bought a different coat and a wig. I put them on near where they were supposed to meet.

I needed to see this with my own eyes. It didn’t take long to spot them kissing and laughing together.

I couldn't live with someone who cheats and lies about it. I dumped him straight afterwards and told him to move out."

'I found messages on his phone'

Care assistant Angie Walker, 33, is single and lives in south east London with her four-year-old daughter.

She says: "I was the bread winner and my husband looked after our daughter. I was juggling two jobs and felt guilty for leaving him to do the housework – but I didn’t for one minute think he’d cheat on me.

I was looking for a picture of me on his phone one day when I found one of a blonde woman.

He's rubbish with technology and so I was able to find all his deleted messages too. I was absolutely gutted to read them. It was obvious they’d been having sex together.

I showed him the pictures and the messages.

The look on his face when he realised I had read and seen everything was priceless. In the end he didn’t bother to deny it.

I asked him to move out. I couldn’t trust him anymore. It was always be in my head that he’d done that. We were together for two years and only see each other now when he takes our little girl out."
