The Zombies Mourn Death Of Album Cover Artist Terry Quirk

The Zombies are mourning the death of Terry Quirk, the artist behind the cover of the English rock band’s classic studio album Odessey and Oracle.

“It is with deep sadness that the Zombies family mourns the loss of our beloved Terry Quirk,” the Zombies said on Facebook.

Quirk passed away at his home in Salisbury, England, at the age of 79.

The Zombies recalled that Quirk’s visionary cover art is eternally connected to their 1968 album, Odessey and Oracle.

“Almost 50 years later, he graced us again with the covers for our album ‘Still Got That Hunger‘ and book ‘The Odessey,'” they added.

The Zombies said Quirk’s irrepressible and mischievous spirit left a smile on the face of every person he met, and that spirit will live on forever in his artwork. They paid their condolences to Quirk’s wife Erica and their family.

In the Facebook post, a photo of the septuagenarian holding the cover of Odessey and Oracle was also attached.
