Quick Change! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Go from Casual to Chic on Final Day in Morocco

If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are looking for some gorgeous pieces for their new home, they’ve come to the right place!

During the final day of their royal tour in Morocco on Monday, the royal couple visited the Andalusian Gardens to hear about youth empowerment in the country from a number of young social entrepreneurs at a market. They saw traditional Moroccan arts and crafts on display in the walled public garden amid exotic plants, flowers and fruit trees.

Harry squatted down to examine one craftsman’s pieces made of cedar wood, chatting with the seller as Meghan listened. The craftsman then gifted Meghan a necklace, placing it over her head to wear as she visited other stalls. Attentive Harry then pulled up his wife’s ponytail so that it fell back over it.

Silver craftsman Sakhi Driss had a photo of Harry’s father, Prince Charles, on display from when the Queen’s son visited his store in Fez. Driss said of Harry, “He asked when the visit was and where was the picture taken.”

At one point, Harry jokingly shielded his eyes as the sun reflected off one of the silver pieces – and Meghan learned that it takes about six days to make one tray.

The royal mom-to-be also stopped by a table filled with colorful items.

At one of the first stops in the fabulous walled gardens high above the coast with the Mediterranean sea, they were handed two embroidered foot cushions – which will perhaps come in useful in their new home, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor Castle.

“They were interested. They asked many questions. It was a great pleasure to see them,” Ismail Boudrous from the social enterprise says.

After spending the morning visiting an animal therapy center and watching a cooking demonstration, the couple switched into less casual ensembles for their visit to the market. Meghan chose a pleated black dress topped by a white blazer, completing the look with black heels and statement earrings. Harry opted for khaki pants, a suit jacket and a white button-up shirt sans tie.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sported one of their most casual looks ever for Monday’s earlier activities. Meghan wore a green khaki jacket by J.Crew (one that has been in her closet since before her wedding!) over a striped shirt along with black pants and Stuart Weitzman boots. She tied her hair back into a chic ponytail, freeing up her hands to pet some of the horses.

Meanwhile, Harry wore a black jacket by Patagonia with grey slacks to visit horses.

Both lost their outerwear for the cooking demonstration, where Meghan exchanged cookbooks with Chef Moha Fedal, presenting him with a copy of Together: Our Community Cookbook – the collection of recipes she created with members of a community kitchen helping survivors of the Grenfell Tower tragedy in London – complete with a handwritten message.

The couple arrived in Morocco on Saturday – and decided to stay on privately for an extra night at the end of the visit. They’ll return to London on Tuesday, instead of Monday afternoon.
