Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, & Baby Archie Kick Off Royal Tour In Africa After Flying Commercial!

More power to these parents!!

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are doing their best to ensure they are seen in a positive light by the public following their private jet scandal from earlier this summer, even if that means taking baby Archie Harrison on a lengthy commercial flight to Africa!

The family of three embarked on an 11 hour 30 minute flight from London to Cape Town, South Africa as they kicked off their Royal Tour on Monday. But even though they flew amongst the commoners, they got the royal treatment as they touched down, and were seemingly given the VIP treatment through customs.

The almost five-month-old didn’t appear too phased by the airplane sounds following the British Airways trip, and looked adorable in a white hat while being cradled by his mom (see the photos HERE) as they exited onto the tarmac.

No word on whether or not the little one was a well-behaved traveler, but we can imagine there wouldn’t be too many complaints from passengers about his crying once people found out who was wailing!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their 10-day tour with a visit to the Nyanga township, where the new momma spoke about the many hats she wears, including being a woman of color:

“On one personal note, may I just say that while I am here with my husband as a member of the royal family, I want you to know that for me, I am here as a mother, as a wife, as a woman, as a woman of color, and as your sister. I am here with you, and I am here for you.”

Meg’s speech came after watching girls take a self-defense class and perform a dance, and her husband also chimed in about about “redefining masculinity” and empowerment to the group of young women:

“No man is born to cause harm to women. This is learned behavior and a cycle that needs to be broken. So now, it’s about redefining masculinity, it’s about creating your own footprints for your children to follow in, so that you can make a positive change for the future. To me, the real testament of your strength isn’t physical, it’s what’s up here and what’s in here. Your strength is in your spirit, which for me means honoring and protecting my wife, and being a positive role model for my son.”

No word yet if Archie will be making any official appearances as part of the tour, considering we’ve hardly seen his full face since he was born in May!

At least we can expect plenty more speeches appearances from his parents!
