Brooklyn Beckham’s wife Nicola Peltz addresses claim he ditched her on date night
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have spoken out after their date night appeared to end badly earlier this week.
Brooklyn, 23, was seen sitting on a curb outside Los Angeles hotspot Cecconi’s after an evening out with his wife – but the couple has now insisted all is not what it seems.
Posting on Instagram, 27 year old Nicola explained why her husband of five months was flying solo following their romantic evening.
Sharing a picture of herself on a street next to the upmarket eatery, in which she was wearing the same outfit as on the date, Nicola wrote: “When you exit out the alley to avoid the paps and do it well enough that they think @brooklynpeltzbeckham left alone.”
Chef Brooklyn then reposted the snap on his Instagram Story.
Since their celeb-packed Florida wedding, which took place at the lavish £76m estate home of Nicola’s dad Nelson and mum Claudia, the couple has faced rumours of a feud with Brooklyn’s mum Victoria.
It’s been claimed that the mother and daughter-in-law duo fell out during the wedding planning process, when the bride decided against wearing a dress designed by Victoria.
Despite attempts to dispel the feud rumours – including comments made by Nicola in a tell-all interview – fans have spotted signs they still might not be a happy family.
Following Brooklyn and Nicola’s recent Vogue Hong Kong shoot, ex-Spice Girl Victoria joyously posted snaps of Brooklyn’s shoot, but did not share any featuring Nicola.
The couple were also absent from Victoria and David Beckham’s action-packed summer, as they were joined by a whole host of family members, including Romeo’s then-girlfriend, on sun-soaked European vacations.
The latest reports have claimed Romeo, 20, is attempting to smooth things over.
A source the Mirror: "There is tension between the families and Brooklyn is torn down the middle. He feels conflicted and the result is he and Romeo have become much closer. Romeo has been his shoulder to cry on and his rock.
"Romeo has been on the end of the phone to his brother morning, noon and night. He has also been talking to Nicole to try to smooth over the situation.
"It's awful for Brooklyn that his marriage has started out with so much stress between his mother and his new bride. Nicole has demanded loyalty from him at all costs."
