Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco set fire to her hair in terrifying moment on set

Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco recalled the terrifying moment her hair went in up flames on set.

She was filming for her new show The Flight Attendant in Rome, when she grabbed a drink during a break.

She suddenly smelt a strange odour, which she thought was burning toast.

Speaking to her Instagram followers, Kaley, 34, revealed: "It smells like someone is burning toast.

"I'm like, 'It stinks in here'", she said.

“I see one of my girlfriends' eyes go really big.

Out of nowhere this guy comes behind me and, what I'm thinking is, 'Is he attacking me?'

"And he's patting me down!"

She added that Italian locals were trying to scream to her that her hair was up in flames, shouting "fuoco", which means 'fire' in Italian.

But Kaley, who recently married equestrian Karl Cook, thought they were shouting "Cuoco".

"My narcissistic brain goes, 'Yes, I'm Miss Cuoco, yes, do you want a picture? Of course'.

"I'm literally thinking they're saying 'Cuoco, Cuoco, Cuoco,'"she laughed.

Kaley confirmed she was unharmed, and shared her relief that her hair was tied up and she didn't have any product in it.

To calm down after the shocking incident, she went out for drinks with her friends.

The jacket lived. My neck lived. And we had a great night," she said.

"You see videos, of mostly women, of their hair going up in flames and you think, 'What an idiot, how did she get so close to that? Who does that? Dumb!' Well, I did.

She concluded: "It was definitely an experience I'll never forget and a bonding moment between me and my cast for them to see me so lit up.

"It was hilarious, s**t happens."

The Big Bang Theory ended last year after 12 seasons, but many have chosen to rewatch the hit sitcom, which starred Jim Parsons and Johny Galecki.

This rewatch has caused some to notice a rather glaring issue with the show's timeline and become confused about when Leonard and Sheldon actually first met.

Many will recall that in the season three episode The Staircase Implementation, Leonard (Galecki) tells Penny (Cuoco) about his first time meeting Sheldon (Parsons), which he claims was in 2003.

However, in a later episode of the show, the date the pair met is called into question.

As a clued-up Reddit user points out, in The 21 Second Excitation from season four, Sheldon reminisces about the time he and Leonard queued for 14 hours to attend the Star Trek: Nemesis premiere.

But that simply couldn't have been possible as that movie was released in America in 2002 – months before Leonard and Sheldon were supposed to have met.
