World’s most awkward family Christmas cards show screaming kids, misbehaving pets and people’s belly buttons

While many people now use social media to share their festive cheer, many have continued the time-honoured ritual of sending out family cards.

For the truly dedicated Xmas senders, shop-bought often doesn't cut the mustard.

Like Kate and Wills, some opt to make their own, featuring a charming family portrait – and usually a token Christmas jumper or two.

However, if you found one of these Christmas cards on your doormat, you might want to think twice about displaying it proudly in your home.



 




Brits spent £1.7 billion on greeting cards last year, according to research by the Greeting Card Association.

But as Christmas Day draws closer, the time for sending presents and cards is getting tight.

Today is the last day Brits can post First Class, while the latest day to post Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed is Saturday.
