Video released by NYPD shows grisly Brooklyn stabbing

Video released by the NYPD Tuesday shows a knife-wielding man violently stabbing another man in the side in Brooklyn, police said.

The attacker, who is wearing a red shirt, can be seen in the video knifing the 22-year-old in his ribs around 5 p.m. Sept. 2 in front of 874 42nd St. in Sunset Park. Police are looking for the man in the red shirt, cops said.

After the 22-year-old was stabbed, he attempted to flee but a third man chased him while waving a gun, police said.

The wounded man then turned around and charged the gun-wielding man, knocking him to the ground and stabbing him in the neck in the process, cops said.

EMS transported both of them to Maimonides Hospital, where the man who was stabbed in the neck died and the man stabbed in the ribs underwent surgery. Cops said he was in stable condition.

The dead man was identified as Jan Andujar, 31, police said. The man who stabbed the gunman has not been charged.

No further details were immediately available.
