Trump slams Biden administration for 'brainwashing kids in school' and calls for 'pro-American education'

DONALD Trump has slammed Joe Biden's administration for "brainwashing" kids as he called for a "pro-American education" and a ban on critical race theory.

In an op-ed published on Friday, the former president called for parents to take action as he accused Biden of "indoctrinating America’s schoolchildren with some of the most toxic and anti-American theories ever conceived."

He claims in the RealClearPolitics article that it is " vital" American schools stop teaching critical race theory as it is telling children that "they are evil."

"Instead of helping young people discover that America is the greatest, most tolerant, and most generous nation in history, it teaches them that America is systemically evil and that the hearts of our people are full of hatred and malice," Trump writes.

"The left’s vile new theory preaches that judging people by the color of their skin is actually a good idea."

The ex-president claims that the theory verges on "psychological abuse" and is not just "immoral" but a "program for national suicide."

Trump says that when Biden took office he stopped the "depraved theories from being imposed upon federal employees in workforce training sessions" before declaring that "most Americans oppose this insanity."

"The left has only gotten away with it until this point because not enough parents have been paying attention and speaking up," Trump says, before listing "demands" that American parents should have.

As well as calling for a ban on tax funds going to any school district or workplace that teaches critical race theory, Trump also says "each state should create its own 1776 Commission to examine the public school curriculum and ensure that students are receiving a patriotic, pro-American education."

He claims that parents should be able to see lesson plans to ensure their children are not being taught the theory and calls on parents to "organize locally."

The former president also blasted the Department of Education for "churning out radicalized teachers."

'EXTREMELY BIASED'

"To be clear, the overwhelming majority of our nation’s teachers are some of the most selfless and wonderful people there are — but regrettably, many have graduated from extremely biased education schools and may not even be aware of the degree to which leftist ideology has permeated their curriculum," he alleges.

Lastly, Trump called for an end to tenure which he claims protects "incompetent teachers who themselves wield undue political influence over our children."

"A nation is only as strong as its spirit. For our children, we must act before it is too late," Trump concludes.

CRT is an academic concept that blossomed in the 1970s and 1980s contending that racism is a social construct.

The notion is that racism extends beyond an individual’s prejudice or bias, and is actually is deeply rooted in legal and government policies and systems, according to Education Week.

Critical race theorists maintain that legal institutions in the US "function to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites, especially African Americans."

Last month, a school board in the wealthy suburb of South Lake, Texas, recently won an election to stop critical race theory and a new “cultural competence action plan” from being forced into classes.

Opponents of CRT classroom integration claimed the school district was calling for the "diversity police," and that the board was pushing a “left-wing agenda,” the Dallas Morning News previously reported.

A black mother in Florida was also recently praised for “telling the truth” when she challenged her school board’s decision to teach critical race theory as part of its curriculum.

Keisha King appeared before the Duvall County School Board last week, hammering the academic concept, and calling it "racist."

King’s effort gained national acclaim.

And shortly after the meeting, Duvall County Public Schools confirmed it was invoking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's ban on CRT, according to News4Jax.

Trump's criticism comes as Biden signed a bill making Juneteenth a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery.

“This will go down for me as one of the greatest honors I will have as president,” Biden said.

The House voted 415-14 on Wednesday to make Juneteenth the 12th federal holiday, and Biden signed the bill into law on Thursday.
