A 27- year old British Instagrammer arrested in Spain for dangerous driving and pushing a car into a river has been identified as Ryan Taylor.

Taylor was caught by the National Police in Marbella after posting videos of himself driving recklessly on roads on Instagram – and at one point dumping a BMW into a river.

He has been charged with crimes against road safety, against the environment and document forgery after posting the incriminating videos on social media.

In a video posted to Taylor’s YouTube called Driving to Spain with a $500 BMW!, Taylor and some friends are seen tipping the car up over a small hill and into the river before running off.

Taylor was filmed pushing a BMW into the Guadaiza River, along with four other men and a woman

Taylor was filmed pushing the car into the Guadaiza River, just above the municipal stadium of San Pedro, posing a serious environmental risk as the area has been classified as  a Special Conservation Area.

He was with four other men and a woman, when he removed the license plates from the car before abandoning it.

Earlier in the footage, Taylor picks a driving ticket off his car before shouting ‘Gracias!’ – ‘thank you’ in Spanish – at a parking attendant.

Taylor and his friends were filmed driving very fast along a bumpy, unpaved area before tipping the car into the water

He and his friends can then be seen jumping on the car and flipping over it. Some of the group then kick the car before they pile into the vehicle to set off on a drive.

It appears those in the car are not wearing seat belts for most of the journey and one of the wing mirrors is completely smashed and unusable from the group’s earlier damage.

During the journey, Taylor opens his door so that it hits off of a lamppost and drives while his friend is clinging onto the car’s bonnet.

Before the group tip the car into the river, they can be seen throwing stones at the vehicle and kicking its wing mirrors off.

Taylor claims in the footage that he urinated into the gas tank after the car stopped working to see if it would make it go again.

The video ends with the police arriving to the location where the group are staying.

Taylor is known for his dangerous driving, videos of which he frequently shares on Instagram and YouTube.

Police allegedly found two cars with the same license plates, both belonging to the prankster, which were also featured on his Instagram posts.

After local Marbella police removed the BMW from the river, an investigation was launched.

Police identified Taylor as the owner of the car from videos on his social media account, including the one in which he can be seen pushing the car into the water.

He was arrested by local Marbella police officers on November 23 and all of the videos have been removed from his Instagram page.

However they can still be found on his YouTube channel.

According to El periodico de Marbella  six other people have been charged by police in relation to the incident.
