Tent built at entrance of coronavirus trailer morgue in Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Hospital Center mobile morgue where bodies of coronavirus victims have been loaded via forklift has had its entrance covered with a white tent, partially obscuring the macabre scene early Wednesday.

The white tent was erected late Tuesday over the opening of the refrigerated trailer, parked along Ashland Place in Fort Greene, according to hospital workers.

The covering prevents morbidly curious passersby from seeing bodies hefted into the container.

It does not extend to the hospital’s loading dock, however, meaning that any more bodies moved via forklift would be plainly visible before they reach the tent, though the forklift was not seen in use early Wednesday.
