Shocking moment brazen bikers ramraid a petrol station to steal alcohol, cigarettes and coffee is revealed as one is jailed for nearly nine years

This is the moment two robbers ramraid a petrol station with a motorbike before stealing alcohol, cigarettes and coffee.

John Burton, 46, of Bilston, Birmingham, and an accomplice smashed their way into the Esso Service Station in Great Witley, Worcestershire.

A terrified member of staff managed to lock herself in the office while the raid unfolded in the early hours of July 27 last year.

CCTV shows the crooks repeatedly drive a motorbike into the glass door of the petrol station.

One of them then props the bike up as they storm the store where they steal thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes and alcohol.

John Burton, 46, from Birmingham, was this week jailed for eight years and nine months

The robbery took place in the Esso Service Station in Great Witley, Worcestershire

The video then shows them filling carrier bags with stolen items before one grabs the till and the other steals two jars of coffee.

The pair, who are both wearing bike helmets, are then seen leaving with their haul.

West Mercia Police and West Midlands Police launched a joint investigation and Burton was arrested.

This week he was jailed for eight years and nine months. He was convicted of two counts of robbery, dangerous driving and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

Charges of attempted robbery and theft will lie on file. He was also banned from driving for 88.5 months and will have to retake an extended driving test once this ban has been completed.

Police are still searching for his accomplice.
