Rudy Giuliani brands Black Lives Matter protesters ‘cop killers’ and says they hate America

RUDY Giuliani has lashed out at Bill de Blasio and Black Lives Matter protesters, claiming the heated anti-racism demonstrations in New York foreshadow the city's lawless future.

The former New York City mayor attacked Hizzoner and BLM supporters in a racially charged speech on restoring safety to the city following a surge in violent crime on Wednesday in Manhattan.

Giuliani said the violent clashes between cops and civilians harken back when he first ran for mayor in the late 1980s, saying: "Crime was way out of control…you couldn’t walk at night."

"We’re going in that direction right now, if we’re not already there," he added, as reported by the New York Daily News.

The 76-year-old Republican echoed the remarks of President Donald Trump – for whom he works as a personal attorney – and blasted de Blasio as the city's "worst mayor."

“It’s quite clear the worst mayor in the history of New York City is the present mayor,” he said.

He continued: “You listen to his ideas and his vicious attack on the police. People wonder why the police turned their back on him. [It’s] because he ran his campaign attacking them.”

Giuliani even went as far as asserting that the Democrat mayor is disloyal to the US, citing his post-graduate days volunteering in Nicaragua.

He also attacked Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza, saying he "belongs in Cuba" despite Carranza being an Arizona native with Mexican heritage.

Giuliani then pivoted his rhetorical rampage toward the Black Lives Matter movement, claiming that supporters of the movement "say hateful things about white people."

“Black Lives Matter equals cop killers,” he said. "You get to a Black Lives Matter rally, the thing you can be certainly sure they’re going to do — they’re going to say hateful things about white people; they’re going to say horrible things about America."

“The one thing they will consistently say is, ‘Kill cops,’” he added, referencing instances of anti-police rhetoric during the recent months of mostly peaceful protests.

Giuliani, who served as mayor from 1994 to 2001, is gunning for a Republican mayor to replace de Blasion once his term is up in 2021, but was mum on naming any potential candidates.

“You want to straighten this country out? You want to send a signal to these crazy ideas that are destroying us? Then you vote Republican this time,” he said.

De Blasio responded to Giuliani's jabs at a City Hall presser later on in the day, saying he thinks the former mayor "has amnesia."

“We’re seeing more and more of Rudy Giuliani become unhinged," said de Blasio.

"I’m just not waiting around to hear what he thinks.”
