Police hunt enters fourth day for missing computer science student, 19, who vanished after night out at campus bar

Police operations to search for a 19-year-old student who went missing from a campus bar in Reading have entered their fourth day.

Search and rescue teams are desperately trying to find Daniel Williams, who was last seen at around midnight on Thursday in a student union bar on Whiteknights campus at the University of Reading. 

The second-year Computer Science student was reported missing after he failed to return to his student accommodation. 

A spokesperson for the University of Reading told MailOnline on Sunday that ‘police searches are continuing and we’re supporting this’. 

Investigating officer Sergeant Bradley Pitt said: ‘We are appealing for anyone with information about Daniel’s whereabouts to get in contact with police as we are extremely concerned for his welfare.

‘It is out of character for Daniel to be missing so please report any possible sightings of him to officers as soon as possible.’

The student has some family connections in Sutton, Surrey.

Mr Williams is described as 6ft tall, slim build, with short light brown hair and blue eyes.

Police said they were ‘extremely concerned’ for his welfare and that his disappearance was ‘out of character’

He was wearing black or blue jeans, a black hooded top and black shoes.

Mr Williams was also wearing a black t-shirt underneath with a distinctive white motif on the front.
