A pair of Shiba Inus in China are obsessed with watching their owner play the Super Mario game.

Trending footage shows the furry gaming fans, named Huo Guo and Di Liao, or ‘Hot Pot’ and ‘Sauce’, staring at the screen intently, with their eyes following the character’s every move.

After the animated little man jumped into a pipe and disappeared, the adorable animals immediately searched underneath the TV, seemingly thinking he had fallen to the ground.

The amusing scene was captured on Monday by the Chinese pet owner at her home in southern Chinese city Jieyang.

In the trending video, Hot Pot and Sauce can be seen standing in front of the TV, turning their heads left and right while they watched game character hopping around.

The pair of Super Mario fans seemed to be so concentrated that they couldn’t take their eyes off the screen.

After the animated little man vanished by jumping into a pipe to enter the next round, the Shiba Inus immediately bent down to look for him.

The dogs appeared to think the character had fallen out of the screen as they rushed to search for him.

The black-furred Shiba Inu, Sause, is seen sticking her nose under the television while Huo Guo checked underneath the cabinet.

The pet owner burst out laughing as she watched her confused pets trying to find the Super Mario. 

The footage amused hundreds of thousands of web users after the Chinese woman shared it on Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok.

One commenter wrote: ‘Hahaha, they clearly had thought it through. They were trying to find it following where the pipe went.’

Another viewer replied: ‘I can’t decide if I should praise for their intelligence or cuteness.’

Hot Pot and Sauce are not the only ones that are addicted to watching TV.  

Two giraffes in China seemed to have become massive soap opera fans after they were caught on camera in July attentively watching a TV show at a safari park.

The long-necked pair remaining perfectly still while seemingly enjoying the drama series from a large screen at the outdoor zoo in Zhengzhou, Henan province of central China.
