Out-of-control bus narrowly misses a mother pushing a buggy as it mounts the pavement before knocking down trees and smashing into a coach

This is the shocking moment an out-of-control bus mounts the pavement and narrowly avoids ploughing into a mother and her buggy.

The vehicle veers off a roundabout to avoid hitting a minibus before smashing into a parked coach in Israel.

The near-fatal crash came after the unnamed bus driver got distracted by his headphones, according to local media.

It was also reported that nine people – including a 15-year-old girl – were injured during the incident on HaMagid Street in Beitar Ilite, near Jerusalem.  

Footage shows the out-of-control driver driving straight through a roundabout without checking for oncoming traffic. 

The bus then swerves off the road and on to the pavement where it just misses mowing down a mother with a buggy and drives between two other pedestrians. 

In another clip the bus driver is seen putting his headphones into his ears before turning sharply with one hand on the wheel, according to local media

It then smashes into a row of trees before turning back on to the road and smashing head-first into a parked coach. 

The coach instantly reverses away from the dangerous bus.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged passenger is thrown forwards when the bus hits the coach and he is seen hitting the dashboard.
