Mum's outrage as son, 4, finds mystery pill in bowl of Coco Pops

Karlee Tweedie, from New South Wales, Australia, claims she was alerted by her son Alex who spotted the pink capsule floating in the milk.

After making sure her son was ok, she took to social media to warn other parents who may have bought the Kellogg's cereal.

She wrote: "Everyone with kids who eat coco pops please be careful Alex was eating cereal and at the end we found a capsule in it. Has been confirmed the tablet is in fact Duromine"

Her post was met with dozens of concerned comments from parents who couldn't fathom how the pill had found its way into the box of chocolate breakfast cereal.

Speaking to Yahoo7 News, she said: "I made my son a bowl of cereal, he finished it and at the bottom of the bowl after he was finished was the tablet,

"I was worried and thought, what the hell is this?"

The weight loss pill, typically issued to treat obesity, has side effects of vomiting and diarrhoea.

After discovering the pill she contacted Kellogg's and a representative indicated the pill could be Duromine based on the writing on it, according to local reports.

The pill has been collected for testing, and luckily for Alex he didn't ingest any of the medication.

Karlee said that the pill was fully formed in the bowl but as she lifted it out it broke apart.
