Mum's fury as vegan son, 14, is 'headbutted and punched by school bully who tried to force feed him bacon'

Dante, 14, has been viciously attacked twice since he joined his new school in October last year – one resulting in post-concussion syndrome.

In the teen's first beating at the Milford Haven School in Pembrokeshire, Wales,  when he was allegedly punched in the throat in an unprovoked assault.

His mum claimed that her son had "weeks of meat thrown at him".

Rachel 44, told Mirror Online that her son's tormentors tried to force him to eat bacon within weeks of him returning to school after Christmas.

He headbutted my son then started repeatedly punching him on the side of the head

She said: "There's a group but one boy did the damage while the others watched.

"Dante got hold of the boy's wrists to stop him putting meat in his mouth.

"But he headbutted my son then started repeatedly punching him on the side of the head on the temple."

According to Rachel, the school called to tell her that Dante had a head injury and that there had been an incident with a boy.

Dante looked like a "tomato" according to his worried mum, who rushed to the school to fetch him.

According to a medical report, Dante's symptoms are consistent with post-concussion syndrome.

FORCE FED BACON

He had impairment of daily function, persistent headaches, dizziness and memory problems.

Dante has been off school since the alleged attack on January 15, but he will be heading back shortly and is incredibly stressed and upset about returning.

Rachel claims that despite her son's head injuries, the school has accused Dante of having "unauthorised absences".

LET DOWN BY SCHOOL

The school insists that the incidents were dealt with, but Rachel feels she and her son had been let down.

He has told his mum that he wants to move away but she is in between a rock and a hard place as her daughter is in a good primary school and doesn't want leave.

As well as affecting the teenager, the incidents have had an effect on her – she has an uncontrollable eye twitch and has sleeping problems.

A spokesperson from Pembrokeshire County Council told Mirror Online: "The school has investigated the alleged incidents internally and the matter has been dealt with in accordance with the Governing Body’s approved policies and procedures.

"The school wishes to make clear that it takes the safeguarding of pupils and their school community as their prime consideration."
