Melania Trump has ‘no empathy or remorse’ and is just like her husband, ex-BFF claims in bitter rant
MELANIA Trump has "no empathy or remorse" and is just like her husband, her former BFF claimed in a bitter rant.
The second-part of Stephanie Winston Wolkoff's interview with The Daily Beast's podcast The New Abnormal with Molly Jong-Fast & Rick Wilson was released on Monday.
Speaking on the podcast's latest episode, Wolkoff said: "I begged her to just come out and say that I was her friend, I was loyal. Nope, nothing.
"So the betrayal, the pain of that was like – I gave up my whole life for this woman. No one else would help Melania. I mean, she was alone.
"I should've known better. She is just like her husband.”
The former senior adviser to Melania was referring to when she was ousted from the White House nearly three years ago.
She then used the interview to criticize the 50-year-old First Lady for wearing a jacket emblazoned with the message "I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?," in 2017.
Wolkoff said Melania downplayed the widespread disapproval about the jacket – which she wore to visit detained immigrant kids.
Melania was heard on a recording saying: "I'm driving liberals crazy, that's for sure. And you know… they deserve it."
Wolkoff revealed on the podcast that she had questioned Melania about how she would respond to criticism over the jacket – which prompted designer Herve Pierre to get hit with social media backlash.
She added: "There's so much callousness. Even in just trying to get [Pierre] paid for collaborating with her and making her first dress, it was like pulling teeth.
"There is no empathy or remorse for the fact that here's someone who was blamed because he's known as her 'stylist.'"
The Sun reached out to the Trump campaign for comment but did not hear back.
The podcast was recorded more than three months after Wolkoff released an explosive tell-all book – Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady – on September 1.
In the first part of the Wolkoff interview – which first aired last week on December 18 – the First Lady's ex best friend accused Ivanka Trump of trying to muscle in on Melania’s duties.
She also dubbed President Trump's daughter as "Donald in a suit."
During the podcast interview, titled Inside the Ivanka-Melania War, Wolkoff recalled the first few days of the Trump administration in 2016.
Melania's ex-friend claimed the First Lady "didn't come to DC that week – but Ivanka stayed and Donald stayed there."
When questioned whether Ivanka was "dumb" or "evil," Wolkoff revealed she thinks "it's a mixture."
She also blasted the Trump family for "not showing emotion" – adding: "A Trump is a Trump because they are authentically and unapologetically skin deep, and also self-serving.
"And their attitudes and disrespect for each other is again, you have to get any inside to see it."
The former aide then went on to talk about how Ivanka "impinged on Melania's duties while overstepping her rank and boundaries."
Wolkoff also called the president's 39-year-old daughter "the serial poacher."
Back in October, a secret tape recording by Wolkoff reportedly revealed Melania was shocked when Beyoncé landed the cover of the September 2018 issue of Vogue
The First lady was secretly taped as she spoke about the editor-in-chief of Vogue's decision to feature Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter on the magazine.
That same month, Wolkoff hit back at Melania's claims that they "hardly knew each other."
Wolkoff insisted she had a 15-year friendship with Melania – and attended the former model and Donald Trumps' wedding.
Wolkoff worked as an unpaid aide in the East Wing of the White House until being let go in February 2018.
In her tell-all book, Wolkoff boasts she "had a front-row seat to the transformation of Donald Trump’s then-girlfriend [Melania] from a rough-cut gem to a precious diamond.”
