Meghan Markle and Prince Harry use sweet unseen wedding pic for Christmas card while Kate and William pose with kids

The pair released the image of them with arms wrapped around each other's waists today, while William and Kate opted for an autumnal photo with their children on a tree trunk.

Kensington palace tweeted this morning: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share a new photograph from their Wedding Reception at Frogmore House on 19th May.

"The photograph, which features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card, was taken by photographer Chris Allerton."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared the new photo showing them hand-in-hand as fireworks erupt in the grounds of Frogmore House, where they will live from early next year.

And in the Cambridge's picture, it's smiles all round, as George cavorts in a pair of jeans and Kate cradles baby Louis – who is now almost eight months old.

The family grin as they gather around a tree trunk in woodland at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk in the sunshine, as Prince George and Princess Charlotte hang happily off their parents.

Three-year-old Charlotte stands on the trunk with her arms around her parents' shoulders, while five-year-old George playfully holds on to his father as he stands one-legged in wellies on the trunk.

It comes as rumours circulate of a "royal rift"between Meghan and sister-in-law Kate Middleton.

They are said to be set for a frosty Christmas gather with the Queen on Christmas Day.

Kensington Palace was forced to deny claims of a row between the two couples last Christmas, when sources claimed that Prince Charles had arranged for Harry and Meghan to stay with William and Kate at the Cambridge's Norfolk residence, Anmer Hall.

Last month, Meghan and Harry – who are expecting their first child in the spring – revealed they would be moving out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The family cards were released on Friday, along with one from the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in which the couple are pictured on a bench in their Clarence House garden gazing at each other.

In Charles and Camilla's card, the duchess is wearing a cream and crepe dress by Fiona Clare in the image, the same outfit she wore for the prince's official 70th birthday pictures which featured the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In the Christmas photograph, the heir to the throne is wearing an Anderson and Sheppard suit, shoes by Crockett and Jones and a Turnbull and Asser shirt.

The message in the card reads: "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year."

The photograph was taken by Hugo Burnand, who is used to working with members of the Royal Family as he took the wedding pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's nuptials in 2011 and Charles and Camilla's big day in 2005.

Charles also asked the photographer to take the birthday image which marked his 60th year in 2008, and he has taken a portrait picture of the duchess.
