Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after police officers hit by a car

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two police officers were hit by a car in central London.
Both officers were injured and one was rushed to hospital after being mowed down in Farringdon, London.
The horror incident came after officers tried to stop a Nissan Juke on Farringdon Road, at the junction with Bakers Row.
As the officers got out of their car to try and speak to the suspect, they were mowed down and left for dead.
Both officers were injured in the horror incident and one was rushed to hospital. He has since been discharged.

A 28-year-old man believed to have been driving the vehicle has been arrested and is being held in custody at a London police station.
The road was closed while officers investigated the incident and buses were rediverted from the scene.
The road has since reopened.
Officers from Islington CID are investigating, the Metropolitan Police said.
