Major update on fugitive yoga teacher Kaitlin Armstrong who remains on the run after love rival Moriah Wilson’s murder

POLICE say Kaitlin Armstrong, who is wanted in connection to the death of professional cyclist Moriah Wilson, was last seen at an airport in New Jersey.

Armstrong, 34, was spotted at Newark Liberty International Airport on May 18, just a day after police in Austin obtained a warrant for her arrest.

However, there were no outbound flights made with reservations under her name, according to the US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

It is believed that Wilson traveled to New York City after allegedly killing Moriah, 25.

The US Marshals shared a photo of Armstrong on Twitter with a reward of up to $5,000 for information on her location.

Armstrong is believed to have shot the athlete multiple times in a jealous rage after learning that Moriah had met up with fellow cyclist Colin Strickland, 35, who had been dating Armstrong at the time.

The two had a brief fling last year after Strickland’s relationship with Armstrong had been on a break.

The two remained friends after this relationship ended and still spent time with one another.

Cops said Strickland told Armstrong he was going out to deliver flowers but his phone battery had died, so he would be unable to contact her.

But he was actually taking a dip with Moriah at the Deep Eddy pool – which police believe motivated Armstrong to pursue deadly revenge.

It is thought she may have discovered the duo's location after finding Moriah's public account on the Strava fitness app.

Moments after the SUV was picked up on a Ring camera, Moriah's friend returned home to find her shot dead in a pool of blood.

Yoga teacher Armstrong then returned home to Strickland after allegedly murdering the 25-year-old and was apprehended by cops – before vanishing.

FAMILY STATEMENT

However, Moriah’s family stated that she wasn’t in a romantic relationship with anyone at the time of her death. The family clarified the claims to KXAN about the alleged romantic relationship.

“While we will not elaborate about the ongoing investigation, we do feel it's important to clarify that at the time of her death, those closest to her clearly understood, directly from Moriah, that she was not in a romantic relationship with anyone,” said the family in a written statement.

“We are absolutely devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter and sister, Anna Moriah Wilson. There are no words that can express the pain and suffering we are experiencing due to this senseless, tragic loss.

“Moriah was a talented, kind, and caring young woman. Her life was taken from her before she had the opportunity to achieve everything she dreamed of. Our family, and all those who loved her, will forever miss her.”

STRICKLAND SPEAKS

Strickland reportedly does not know the whereabouts of Kaitlin Armstrong.

In a statement released to local media, Strickland spoke of "the regret and torture" he felt "about [his] proximity to this horrible crime."

"I am sorry, and I simply cannot make sense of this unfathomable tragedy," he continued.

"As a point of clarification to facts previously reported, Moriah Wilson and I had a brief romantic relationship from late October-early November 2021 that spanned a week or so while Ms Wilson was visiting Austin.

"At the time, she and I had both recently ended relationships.

"She returned to her home in California and about a month later, Kaitlin Armstrong and I reconciled and resumed our relationship.
