A Jewish man was chased by two cars flying Palestinian flags in Los Angeles, security footage shows.

The man said the people in the cars chanted “Allahu akbar,” an Islamic battle cry meaning god is the greatest, and pursued him as he walked to a synagogue to celebrate Shavout Monday night, according to Fox News.

“I’ve taken this route a million times and I’ve never been afraid,” the man, who wished to remain anonymous, told the network.

“I was waiting by the light for it to change and suddenly I saw a bunch of cars coming and I see out of the corner of my eye they were waving the Palestinian flag. They started speeding up and I heard them chanting ‘Allahu akbar.’ That’s when I started running for my life.”

Surveillance footage obtained by the outlet shows the man running away from the speeding cars into a Bank of America parking lot.

“I ran as fast as I could,” he reportedly said. “They were picking up speed and I really thought they were going to run me over, that it would all be over.”

“I was petrified,” he said. “I just kept thinking, ‘I’m a father of six and I want to come home to them tonight.’ I thought they were going to kill me. My mind was racing.”

The man ran into the synagogue and yelled at fellow worshipers to help him secure the building, according to the report.

“I thought to myself, America has always been about freedom of religion,” he reportedly said. “You’ll never see any Jews in my community attacking pro-Palestinians in a residential neighborhood like you saw here. And yet, I don’t feel safe walking around.”

The LAPD is aggressively investigating the incident, according to the report, as two weeks worth of bloody conflict in the West Bank has rekindled tension between Jews and Muslims in the states.

Fights broke out between supporters of Israel and Palestine Thursday afternoon in Times Square, and a firework was thrown from a pickup truck in a pro-Palestinian convoy in Manhattan’s heavily Jewish Diamond District.

On Wednesday, a pro-Palestine gang attacked Jewish restaurant patrons in LA, which officials called an “organized anti-Semitic attack.”

“A bunch of the cars stopped and maybe 30 of the men in the cars got out, started running towards the tables and asking indiscriminately, ‘Who’s Jewish?’” a witness told a local outlet.
