Alec Baldwin has been dealt yet another cruel blow after his family’s beloved cat Emilio went missing from their remote Vermont property.

The embattled actor, 63, was seen on Tuesday frantically searching through a wooded area of Manchester, where he and his wife and children have been staying in a hideaway rental since his accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Hours earlier, wife Hilaria, 37, took to Instagram to ask the public to keep an eye out for the furry feline which had joined the family as a kitten in April.

‘We can’t find our cat, Emilio. If anyone sees him, please help him get home. We are all so upset. He’s microchipped but no collar,’ she wrote, sharing a photo of the cat alongside infant daughter Maria Lucia.

The 63-year-old actor was faced with another mishap after coming under intense scrutiny ever since firing the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie ‘Rust’ on October 21

‘The local police know, so if you find him, please contact them,’ she added.

The mother-of-six did not provide any details of the general location where the cat could be or how it managed to get away.

In exclusive DailyMail.com photos, a disheveled and distressed-looking Baldwin is seen setting off into the woods with what appeared to be a yellow cat toy, in hopes of luring Emilio.

The four-legged pet is believed to be a Bengal cat, which are known for their leopard-like spots on their coat and highly-energetic temperaments.

It is unknown how or when the cat managed to get away and Hilaria did not give any details of the general location where it could be

It has been claimed that the veteran actor is having a rough time coping with the tragic on-set death of cinematographer’s Halyna Hutchins in Santa Fe, New Mexico

In April, Hilaria announced that the couple got Emilio for their daughter Carmen, eight, who has ‘desperately’ wanted a cat since she was two, however, Alec is allergic.

‘We struggled with what to do for years, lots of research, lots of searching…and now we have her baby. Meet Carmen’s Emilio Cookie Baldwin (yes, she named him), ‘ Hilaria wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

Bengal cats are said to be hypoallergenic and are some of the most expensive breeds, ranging between $1,500 and $3,000.

Emilio has often been featured on Hilaria’s Instagram since joining the family earlier this year in sweet snaps cuddling with her young children.

And it seems the Baldwins also like to bring the beloved pet along on family trips. The couple’s nanny was spotted holding what appeared to be a cat carrier as she packed up the family’s belongings outside Alec’s New York City apartment hours after the tragic shooting.

It is unknown when exactly the cat took off and why they have not been able to locate him through his microchip.

The missing pet mishap comes in the thick of controversy following the tragic death of Alec’s colleague, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, whom he accidentally fatally shot on the set of upcoming film Rust in New Mexico

The family’s missing pet comes in the thick of controversy following the tragic death of Alec’s colleague, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, whom he accidentally fatally shot on the set of upcoming film Rust in New Mexico on October 21.

The family has been riding out the storm in Vermont where they retreated last week.

On Monday, Alec and Hilaria were spotted leaving their hideaway for a walk around town.

Hilaria went for a three-mile run while Alec, dressed in all black, waited for her in their in their car. The couple then went on a coffee run at the town’s Manchester Center.

They hit four different coffee shops before settling on Starbucks where Hilaria, wearing a baseball cap and activewear, emerged carrying several coffees.

They later were seen shopping at high-end textile store Pendleton.

The outing came the day after Hilaria was slammed for posting what critics called ‘tasteless’ and ‘inappropriate’ Halloween photos of their family on the heels of the tragic shooting that killed Hutchens.

The couple had got Emilio earlier this year in April for their eight-year-old daughter Carmen

‘Parenting through this has been an intense experience, to say the least,’ Hilaria, 37, wrote on Instagram Sunday.

‘Today, we rallied to give them a holiday. Last min costumes…a little hodge-podge…but they were so happy and that warmed my mama heart.’

The photos show Alec dressed up as a creature from the popular children’s book Where the Wild Things Are.

Hilaria donned an apparent spider witch costume that matched her daughters Carmen, 8, and Maria Lucia Victoria, 8 months.

She also shared a snap of Maria and her older brother, Eduardo, 1, in matching brightly-colored workout clothes.

Their three older sons, Rafael, 6, Leonardo, 5, and Romeo, 3, also wore fun costumes although it was not immediately clear what the boys were dressed up as.

The Baldwins have been under intense scrutiny ever since Alec, 63, fired the gun that killed Hutchins on the set of his movie ‘Rust’ on October 21.

The couple’s fun-loving family photos were released hours after a new report revealed that there had been at least three other accidental gun discharges on the set before Hutchins was killed.

She was criticized for posting cheerful holiday snaps while Hutchins’ nine-year-old son would face his first Halloween without his mother.

On Sunday, the haunting final words of Hutchins as she laid dying on a Santa Fe film set were revealed.

‘That was no good. That was no good at all,’ the 42-year-old mother-of-two said seconds after she was fatally shot by Alec.

The crew on the movie set were already concerned about gun safety before he accidentally shot and killed her.

A warrant indicated that a single bullet struck Hutchins in the chest, and then struck director Joel Souza in the shoulder as he was standing behind her, injuring him.

DailyMail.com spotted Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria leaving their hideaway rental home in Manchester, Vermont, after the actor’s on-set tragedy

Unionized workers had walked off the set hours before the fatal shooting, after they complained about long hours, shoddy conditions and another safety incident days earlier involving ‘two misfires’ of a prop weapon.

Alec has since told reporters he doesn’t think production will resume.

Meanwhile Hilaria is also being branded a desperate attention-seeker after interrupting her husband’s impromptu press conference about the death, prompting Alec to glare and snap at her.

During an interview at a Vermont roadside Saturday, Hilaria repeatedly barged in, paced in front of the camera, and scowled at the reporter, while making a show of filming the exchange on her iPhone.

She later shared a heartfelt post on Instagram: ‘I love you and I’m here,’ she captioned a picture of her and her husband’s intertwined hands. Her apparent attempt at eliciting sympathy backfired online, with numerous social media users calling Hilaria out for her attention-seeking way.

Alec, 63, and his wife, Hilaria, 37, celebrated Halloween with their six children on Sunday – days after Halyna Hutchins’ death on the Rust movie set

Her caption described how ‘intense’ parenting her children has been while coping with the tragedy, writing: ‘Parenting through this has been an intense experience, to say the least. Today, we rallied to give them a holiday’

‘This scene with Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin (aka 100% not-Spanish Hillary from Boston who is still using a fake accent) is nuts,’ tweeted @blanket1734.

‘He’s trying to deal with the paps and his wife keeps jumping in, trying to butt in and FILMING because she’s that desperate for attention.’

Alec told the reporters he had dinner with ‘my friend’ Halyna on the first day of filming Rust in New Mexico before the shooting.

‘What do you want to know?’ a visibly agitated Alec said as his wife, Hilaria, held up her cell phone while apparently recording the impromptu news briefing.

The shooting remains under investigation.
