Controlling ex stalked Instagram influencer he dated and bombarded her with messages

A CONTROLLING ex has admitted stalking his Instagram influencer former-flame.

Joshua Murray, 22, hounded model Cara Jarvis, 24, at a property in April 2021.



Court papers state Murray engaged in a course of conduct which caused Miss Jarvis fear or alarm.

Miss Jarvis – who has more than 21,000 followers on Instagram – was repeatedly sent emails containing threats and offensive remarks.

Murray repeatedly phoned and texted her as well as contact her on her social media accounts.

He also used Miss Jarvis’ social media account without her permission.

Murray pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to stalking Miss Jarvis who is also a company director of clothing brand, Play Filthy.

A not guilty plea was accepted by the Crown to a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards her at a city centre photography studio in March 2021.

Kevin Corr, defending, will make his plea in mitigation at next month’s sentencing where further circumstances will be heard.

Sheriff Vincent Lunney bailed Murray, of Glasgow city centre, meantime.

Elsewhere in the city, a pair of drug dealing Glasgow grans who were caught with over £24,000 worth of cocaine have been jailed.

Helen Wright, 67, and Moira Robertson, 65, were also snared with £51,000 in cash at a house in the Baillieston area of the city on June 20, 2019.

We also told how a schoolgirl has been left fighting for her life after being mowed down while crossing the street.

The 12-year-old was rushed to hospital following the incident in Stenhousemuir, Falkirk, around 3pm yesterday afternoon.
