Cedar Rapids shooting leaves two dead and up to 10 injured after attacker opens fire at Taboo Nightclub and Lounge

AT least two people have been killed and 10 others injured in a shooting at a nightclub in Iowa.

Cedar Rapids Police are currently investigating the incident which occurred at the Taboo Nightclub and Lounge at 1.27am Sunday morning.

Cops say two people were killed, and approximately 10 more are injured and receiving medical attention at a number of local hospitals.

Cedar Rapids Police were on routine downtown patrol when the shooting occurred and were able to respond rapidly.

Officials say there is no ongoing threat to the public, but officers are interviewing witnesses and Crime Scene Investigators remain on site.
