Brent James Bockes arrested for 'killing wife' as missing 3-year-old daughter Riley Harper Bockes found safe

A MAN wanted for killing his wife and taking off with his three-year-old daughter has been arrested.

Brent James Bockes, of North Carolina, was apprehended on Wednesday, according to police.


The daughter, Riley Harper Bockes, was unharmed and was found in Tennessee

Authorities said that deputies are caring for the girl while attempting to contact her family.

Bockes is being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

Deana Michelle Bockes was found dead inside her home in Sanford, NC, earlier Wednesday.

No cause of death has been released yet, but police are investigating it as a homicide.

Deana's body was found shortly after an Amber Alert was issued for the couple's daughter.

Police found Bockes and the girl in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, about three hours after the alert went out.

The stolen Toyota Avalon police were tracking had reportedly been involved in an accident, according to WXFR.

Bockes attempted to run from the scene with his daughter, but was apprehended shortly thereafter.

The outlet reported that he is being charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife.

He's also reportedly facing charges for larceny of a motor vehicle.
