A BOY is set to face trial after being charged with the murder of a woman.

Marcia Grant, 60, was allegedly hit and killed by her own car on Wednesday, April 5.

Described as a "pillar of her community", Marcia died outside her home in Sheffield.

The 12-year-old boy accused of her murder will now face a provisional trial this summer, a judge has ruled.

Appearing at Sheffield Crown Court today, the youngster was also charged with possessing a bladed article.

Judge Jeremy Richardson KC said the case had to be prioritised due to the age of the defendant.
