Comedian Andy Dick married his friends in the closet where Janis Joplin died, with accused rapist and porn star Ron Jeremy as their ‘flower girl’, in a bizarre ceremony caught on camera in April.
In the video, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, Dick officiated the impromptu wedding of his drunken friends during a night of partying at the Highland Gardens Hotel in Los Angeles.
At one point, Jeremy plays ‘Here Comes the Bride’ on the harmonica and Dick opens the closet where Janis Joplin was found dead of a heroin overdose in 1970, to reveal the bride and groom kissing passionately.
The couple, Elizabeth Gallagher and Johnny West, decided to get married while partying with Jeremy and Dick at the Hollywood hotel, where the former porn legend was holed up during the coronavirus lockdown before he was arrested on rape and sexual assault charges in June.

West can be seen in the clip barely remaining conscious, closing his eyes and swigging from a wine bottle, dressed in a black suit jacket and white Batman t-shirt and surrounded by a handful of similarly drunken friends in the sparse hotel room.
Dick said to the newlyweds, Joplin’s ‘spirit is going to keep your marriage alive’
Dick – who was recently ordained to officiate marriages in California, a friend told DailyMail.com – kicked off the whacky ceremony by forgetting the groom’s name, then clasped his hand over the man’s mouth to keep him quiet and launched into an uninspiring speech about his past failed relationship.
‘I’m Andy Dick, here to officiate the marriage between Elizabeth Gallagher and Johnny West, good friends of mine,’ he said.
‘We’re just going to have some quick vows and then I’m going to legally wed them.
‘I got married because I was 18 and I got a girl pregnant and I thought it was from God. I thought I had to marry this girl, and I did. That lasted for a while until we were bickering and fighting all the time. If it’s all the time get a divorce, but I don’t see you guys fighting all the time.’
Ploughing on over interruptions by friends shouting, swearing and making lewd jokes, Dick acknowledged the odd circumstances of the impromptu wedding.
‘They made me come out tonight. When I said ”I’m not quite ready. Can we wait a couple of days?” They said ”No, tonight.” I said ”Why tonight? Is it your parents’ wedding day?” They said ”Because we love each other so much we want to do it right now,” the comedian, who starred in movies Road Trip, Employee of the Month and Reality Bites, said.
‘I believe in that and I really believe that you guys love each other. So I rushed out here and we happened, weirdly, to get Janis Joplin’s room, where she died. Her spirit is going to keep your marriage alive.’
Both Andy Dick and Ron Jeremy are longtime friends and have both become reality TV stars thanks to appearing on The Surreal Life and Sober House

The farcical ceremony continued with the bride attempting to read her wedding vows from a crumpled piece of paper.
‘I vow to keep our marriage an adventure, to be the Bonnie to your Clyde. I humbly accept this gift God has given me,’ Gallagher said, prompting Dick to guffaw and the groom to turn to him and slur ‘F*** you Andy.’
‘I will never take you or our love for granted for as long as I live,’ the wife-to-be continued. ‘Today I marry my best friend. You are my greatest love and I will celebrate you every day.’
West then recited his apparently improvised vows: ‘This is my person. This is my love and my affection. I’ve never found somebody that I found that could honestly share a life with me because I’m a f***ed up individual.’
Jeremy, stood beside them in a black Tiwztid band t-shirt and red Croc shoes, cut in quipping: ‘I’ve not seen Andy cry this hard since his residual check bounced.’
‘This is the person that I’ve decided I want to spend the rest of my life with and I’ve never ever completely felt that way before except for now,’ the groom said.
‘I will do everything, everything, everything, to make sure that you know that I will be loyal to you, and I will be honest to you and I will be special to you. And you will be proud of being my wife.
‘I didn’t need to write any vows because I literally look at you in the eyes and I look at you and I tell you that I love you. And I will never love anybody else as much as you.’

Breaking the intense atmosphere again, Jeremy joked ‘In honor of me and Andy Dick, will you raise the kids Jewish?’ and Dick replied ‘I’m not Jewish, I’m Jew-ish.’
Despite already reading their vows, the drunken revelers then decided to rehearse their entrance again, climbing into the cupboard behind them which was covered in scrawled messages written by Joplin fans visiting the scene of her death.
The former porn star and alleged rapist played ‘Here Comes the Bride’ on a harmonica and Dick opened the cupboard to reveal the bride and groom with locked mouths, West grabbing Gallagher’s thigh and pulling up her leg.
Dick then introduced the couple’s best man and said to the bride: ‘This is the best man, Bill, who you put a finger in earlier today.’
The man gave an abortive attempt at singing the traditional Scottish song It’s A Date: Loch Lomond accompanied by Jeremy on the harmonica.
The friends then trooped out, with the cameraman, Jesse Grider, shouting ‘Let’s leave them in here, let them f*** in the closet. It’s not legal unless you put it in.’
