X Factor's Dalton Harris says he 'blacked out' onstage and can't remember winning the show

The singer, 24, says he blacked out when Dermot O'Leary announced his name on Sunday.

Dalton revealed to Heat Radio that the last thing he remembers about the evening was waking up in mentor Louis Tomlinson's dressing room.

He said: "I blacked out; I’m being honest. I blacked out.

"Anthony was third and he did his roll thing. I was like ‘cool'.

"Then I heard ‘and the winner is…Dalton.’ Then my ears stopped working and [my face] was on fire and I don’t remember anything.

"I remember faces and [I woke up in] Louis’ dressing room.

"James Arthur gave me a brooch, then I had to leave to go to the hotel.

"I went and said 'thank you,' then I met my adopted dad and friends that had come. Then I went to bed."

Dalton then spoke about his plans for Christmas.

He said: "I don’t know. For the past three or for years I haven’t really been able to do Christmas as I’ve always been working; and I think this year’s probably going to be no different."

The Sun's Bizarre column recently revealed that Dalton will have to fly home to Jamaica rather than cash in on his X Factor win — because his visa is set to expire.

His immigration documents only allowed him to stay for the duration of the ITV series.

Show bosses are now hastily trying to negotiate a new visa which will allow him to return to perform on the upcoming tour and begin recording.

He has landed a record deal and his winners’ single The Power Of Love, featuring James Arthur, is powering up the charts.

In an exclusive interview Dalton revealed: “I need to get a new visa. I will have to leave the UK for a bit as you’re not allowed to just stay for ever.
