Who's in the Game of Thrones season 8 cast?
But, who will be in the cast? Let's have a look…
Who's in the Game of Thrones season 8 cast?
As always, Game of Thrones' eighth season is being treated as top secret.
The production was so determined to keep it all under wraps that they even shot fake scenes and changed names in the scripts.
Similarly, they haven't released any cast or episode information in order to prevent revealing the plot.
But, based on common sense and who hasn't been killed off so far, here are the stars that will be in the series 8 cast.
Peter Dinklage
Peter, 49, will return to the series as the beloved Tyrion Lannister.
At the end of last season, he tried to persuade Cersei to become allies with Daenerys and Jon Snow, and although she agreed, she later revealed that it was a lie.
We have to wait and see if he end up confronting Cersei at any point.
Lena Headey
The Bermuda-born actress will return as Cersei Lannister.
We last saw her lie to her brother Tyrion about being allies before revealing that instead, she plans to use the Golden Company of Braavos to secure her hold on Westeros.
Emilia Clarke
Emilia will be back as the platinum blonde haired Daenerys, the mother of Dragons.
Season 7 dramatically saw her get intimate with Jon Snow, who happens to be her relative as the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen – making him an heir to the Iron Throne.
Kit Harrington
Kit will be back as the beloved Jon Snow and fans will make sure to pay extra attention to him now that they know he is an heir to the Iron Throne.
But so far, only Bran Stark and Samwell know about Jon's parentage.
It will be interesting to see who else finds out in season eight and when the news reaches Jon and Daenerys.
Sophie Turner
Sophie's character Sansa is said to make a return to the season and be stronger than ever.
Speaking to Vulture, she said: "This season she is very, very self-assured. She knows what she wants. She knows what she stands for.
"She knows who she wants to be around. She faces threats to that this season. But, well, we'll see how that goes."
Maisie Williams
The last time we saw Maisie's character Arya, she was executing Littlefinger.
With there being numerous left on Arya's "To-Kill" list, the very last season of Game of Thrones is set to be an interesting one for her.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
The better-loved half, and brother, of Cersei finally had enough of her wicked plans and schemes.
After hearing that she had lied to their brother Tyrion about being allies, Jamie deserted her and started heading North.
One fan theory expects him to kill Cersei because we see a witch tell a prophecy about her death, saying: "And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."
Since "valonqar" means little brother in High Valyrian language some think this is a pretty clear indicator that Jaime will kill his sister and lover.
Isaac Hempstead Wright
Isaac's character Bran Stark has become an exceptionally pivotal character that knows and sees all that has happened and will happen.
That means, for all we know, Bran already knows how the Game of Thrones will conclude.
Some fans have theorised that he is the Night King – but we will have to wait and see how true that is.
Who else can we expect to make a return for Season 8?
Here are some of the other characters that haven't been tragically killed off just yet.
- Iain Glen – Jorah Mormont
- Alfie Allen – Theon Greyjoy
- John Bradley – Samwell Tarly
- Gwendoline Christie – Brienne of Tarth
- Liam Cunningham – Davos Seaworth
- Nathalie Emmanuel – Missandei
