THE Apprentice is back for a brand new series with a whole new batch of keen hopefuls.

One of those contestants hoping to impress Lord Sugar is Akeem Bunbdu-Kamara.

Who is Akeem Bundu-Kamara on The Apprentice 2022?

Akeem is a 29-year-old strategy manager from London.

A self-described people person, he loves “being around others”.

He already mixes in showbiz circles and is pals with BBC Breakfast star Gavin Ramjaun.

What does Akeem do?

Akeem works as a strategy manager for a financial firm in the capital.

As well has his day job, he is also the founder of sustainable sportswear brand Lockr Space.

The company says it was created to offer “a space where any sportswear brand can have their own unique Lockr to showcase their products".

What has Akeem said?

Speaking of joining The Apprentice 2022 line-up, Akeem told the BBC he has the “ambition, the drive and the experience working with strategy", and that he is "already on the “pathway to making it”.

Akeeem added: “My growing up has made me who I am. I’m able to converse with everyone, but also able to show that financial, business side to myself.”

On the BBC website, a statement on him reads: "Akeem considers himself a people person who loves being around others.

"However, as a self-confessed numbers guy, his analytical ability often causes him to think carefully about his every move, as he claims he will come in with a 'calculated point of view'."

"Ready to provide the facts, Akeem says he's got the 'ambition, the drive and the experience working with strategy' to stand him out from the crowd, and states he's already on the 'pathway to making it.'"

When is The Apprentice on?

The Apprentice kicks off on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 9pm on BBC One.

The new series will broadcast weekly and will see former winner Tim Campbell join as one of Lord Sugar's aides.

He will stand in for Claude Littner who won't be taking part due to medical reasons.
