When is the first Strictly 2019 elimination? Voting opens sooner than you think

STRICTLY Come Dancing is back on TV with its live shows and the show continues TONIGHT.

But fans shouldn’t forget that with the live shows comes the heartbreak of an elimination. Here’s when the first exit is happening.

When is the first Strictly 2019 elimination?

The first elimination takes place on Sunday, September 29.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will announced the two couples who have landed in the bottom two.

The scores will be taken from the judges scores on the first two live shows – Saturday, September 21, and Saturday, September 28.

The scores from the viewer votes will be combined to make the overall total.

The two lowest ranked couples will then take part in the dance-off, after which the judges will decide who deserves to keep their place in the competition.

The couple they do not save is then eliminated from the show.

The judges this season are Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and newbie Motsi Mabuse.

The first eliminated pair will join Zoe Ball and Rylan Clark-Neal on the It Takes Two sofa on Monday, September 30, on BBC One.

When is Strictly Come Dancing 2019 on?

However, it returned with an official launch show on September 7, 2019, at 7.10pm.
