When does Mariah Carey's and McDonald's holiday menu come out?
MCDONALD’S is kicking off the holiday season with a Mariah Carey-inspired menu on the way.
The fast-food chain partnered with Mariah Carey as they have with other celebrities heading into the holidays.
What will be on the holiday menu?
The special McDonald’s menu, called the Mariah Menu, will feature free meals from the BigMac to chocolate chip cookies, with each day holding a new surprise.
The Mariah Menu will make its debut every day from December 13 to December 24, allowing enough time for anyone to enjoy their festive feast.
This is not the first time McDonald’s created a meal deal with celebrities. The chain has also previously partnered with BTS, Saweetie, Travis Scott, and J Balvin.
Is there a catch?
Although each meal on the Mariah Carey menu is free, customers will need to make a $1 purchase for the free meal to apply.
Additionally, the free meals can only be purchased through the McDonald’s app.
McDonald’s will not be adding any new festive meals to their menu and will only be including existing menu items, so employees don’t feel overwhelmed, according to a McDonald’s press release.
However, the meals will come in a “festive packaging inspired by Mariah’s love for the holidays,” the press release says.
Why did Mariah Carey partner with McDonald’s?
Mariah, oftentimes known as the celebrity to kick off the holiday season with her rendition of All I Want for Christmas is You, is excited about the new menu and said she and the fast-food chain go way back.
In a press release, Mariah said McDonald’s became a part of her Christmas memories from a young age when she and her family bought food there every year in December.
“Some of my favorite memories with my kids are our family trips to McDonald’s, and of course, each of us has our go-to order. Mine is the Cheeseburger, and I get it with extra pickles,” Carey said.
“Bringing together some of our favorite food from McDonald’s with my all-time favorite season is a holiday wish come true.”
